Vernon and Steve connected at TMEA 2024. Steve showed Vernon some of his stock custom trumpets and then it was time for a play test... after that the conversation got started about building him a custom trumpet. Steve jumped at the chance to work with Vernon because of his reputation as a player, educator, and he's just a nice guy. Vernon has one of the top trumpet studios in the country. The custom process is always unique for each player, but it is safe to say that Vernon and Steve hit it right off with one another. Even after the build was finished.... the two continue to stay in communication with one another and have become friends.
