Ray Hilley

Trumpet Build Specs:

This is an older King Silver flair that Ray has been using for teaching middle school.  Ray is a low brass player and an outstanding educator.  Ray sent this trumpet in for service and Steve noticed that it had red rot in the yellow brass lead pipe...  Ray decided to ask Steve to custom lacquer his trumpet school colors and add a modified phosphor bronze lead pipe with heavy nickel receiver.  The modified phosphor bronze lead pipe that Ray is using is a 8.88 mm projected tube on a 2.5 receiver. 

Ray is the head director at Truett Wilson Middle School in Northwest ISD.  Ray and Steve have been doing business with one another since 2000...  been friends since the beginning and remain Dallas Cowboy fans at their core.  Ray doesn't mind telling Steve's wife "can you please make this man some red beans and rice" - Michelle is the orchestra director across the hall from Ray's band hall.  Thanks for all the support, business, and friendship Ray!
